OPEN ALL DAY
Situated in the village of Girton, just a stone’s throw away from the centre of Cambridge sits our picturesque thatched gastropub. The Old Crown first opened its doors in 1840 as the first pub within this delightful village. Over several years the pub has been sympathetically modernised and extended and enjoys a large restaurant, rear terrace, and a garden overlooking the idyllic Cambridgeshire countryside.
The pub is divided into three areas. The delightful conservatory restaurant with high ceilings and views extending over the terrace. The front dining room with its elegant banquette seating and large open fireplace & the bar area with its log burner and a great place to sit peacefully with a drink. Our gastropub has a calm modernity while still retaining the classic feel of a gastropub.
Our garden is pretty with a Garden Kiosk available during the warmer months and heated umbrellas on our terrace to keep the evening chill at bay. We are proud to have added play equipment in the spring of 2021 to our beautiful garden where children can play happily whilst watching the horses in the adjacent field. We are family friendly and welcome dogs on leads in the garden and in the bar area inside.
We are proud to be independent, not part of a chain, and are free of tie.
